Eric Mason, M.Div., M.A., LMHCA

Training and Degrees:  After earning an M.Div. from Yale University, I spent eight years working with at-risk adolescents.  I was their counselor and life-skills instructor.  As these young men and women shared their lives with me, I became a better parent. I also led them on backpacking and cross-country ski trips, where they continued the journey of discovering themselves and finding freedom in their emotions.   These experiences prompted me to seek training as a therapist.  I attended the Seattle School of Theology and Psychology, where I graduated with a Master in Counseling Psychology in 2011.

Counseling Orientation:  I practice a psychodynamic, relational approach to counseling.  For better and for worse, we are impacted by significant relationships, traumatic events, and our own actions.  Through therapy, we can gain greater insight into who we are, increase our resiliency, experience emotional healing, and find liberation from patterns and behaviors that keep us stuck and unhappy.   I believe the goal of therapy is healing of the hurt and tragedy in our lives, so that we might live more fully into our potential and find greater satisfaction as we love, work and play.

Billing Information: My fee is $80 per 60-minute session and $120 per 90-minute session.  Payments are to be made at the beginning of each session.  I do not accept insurance at this time.

Free Initial Consult:  I offer a free initial consult session to help you determine if therapy would be beneficial and whether or not  we would be a good fit.  Contact me to set up an appointment:  (206) 953-6049 or emason873@gmail.com
